Greg Alexander

Gregory Allen Alexander, 57, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 after a short battle with cancer.

Born February 2, 1969 to Farrell & Joyce Williams Alexander, of Carlisle, he was a 1987 graduate of Bourbon County High School and attended the University of Kentucky, where he majored in Physics and Math. Greg was a talented musician and artist with a brilliant mind until a mental illness took hold of him in his early 20's. The family prays his mind is finally free from illness and pain. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Christy (Brian) Shelley; two nephews, Michael (Stephanie) McDowell & Brandon (Audrianna) Whirles; one niece, Kaitlyn (Chuck) Bach; three great-nephews: Hayden, Conner & Hunter; and four great-nieces: Emma, Olivia, Debra & Mary.

Preceding Greg in death were his paternal grandparents, Cecil & Serena Alexander; his maternal grandparents, Harry & Sue Williams; and a great-niece, Sophia Soard.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 16th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home officiated by his uncle, Rev. Richard Williams, with burial to follow on the family lot in Carlisle Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Monday until the time of service.
